Located in the scenic splendour of Ireland’s wilderness, Cluain na dTor (meaning ‘Meadow of Shrubs’) Nursery and Gardens specialises in plants that thrive in Seaside gardens and coastal regions. We offer an outstanding selection of plants suited to both the exposed and more sheltered garden.
Anyone visiting will have the opportunity to see growing together in the garden, many of the plants suited to these two conditions.
Here, near the seaside village of Falcarragh on the North-West coastline of Donegal, the Irish climate is described as cool temperate maritime. Heavily influenced by the relatively warm waters of the Atlantic, we experience cooler summers and milder winters than any other place at an equivalent latitude, either North or South of the Equator.
